I be able to find employment?
Positions in the medical transcription field are available in
health care practices such as hospitals and clinics. Other areas
to explore for employment opportunities are:
- individual and group medical centers, urgent care centers
- managed care operations (HMO's)
- private clinics and practices
Does age matter in the medical
field?
No, age does not matter. In most settings you will find people
of all ages working in a variety of positions and skill levels.
Because some of the medical positions require that you have prior
work experience we recommend starting as soon as possible in order
for you to obtain that experience. Our medical transcription program
is designed to get you working as a transcriptionist as soon as
possible.
Why should I take a distance
education course instead of a live class?
Distance education allows you to take the class when YOU HAVE
THE TIME! You don't need to rush home from a hard day's work just
to get to a crowded classroom on time. With Allied's distance learning
courses, you don't need to pay for baby-sitting, parking, extra
gas, and wasted time. You may take up to a full year to complete
the courses. When you have questions our Student Service Department
