Why should I bother logging out? Logging out destroys your currently actively session on the site, and it all destroys all StatCounter session cookies that were present in your browser. If you did not log out, and you were to visit another site it could be possible for them to get you to click a link, that would send your cookie information to another individual without you knowing about it. That individual would then be able to use that cookie information to gain access to your account without even knowing your password! |
