Charlotte's Strategic Plan: Advantage CarolinaThe Advantage Carolina website is currently undergoing redevelopment. Please contact Emmy Lou Burchette at 704-378-1366 for information. The Advantage Carolina mission is to unite the efforts of public, private and non-profit organizations to address issues affecting the Charlotte Region. The work being done as part of the Advantage Carolina “Action Agenda” falls under four focus areas:
Our initiatives in these areas share objectives for strengthening the economy and improving the quality of life in the region. The Advantage Carolina strategic plan was initially developed in the late 1990s by a number of business and civic leaders to address critical issues facing the Charlotte Region. Work on the plan initiatives is conducted through collaborative action teams made up of business leaders, public sector elected officials and staff, and leaders from non-profit organizations. Annual plan updates and new strategic market assessment work done in 2004 provide the basis for plan amendments and new strategies for the future. If you are interested in learning more about Advantage Carolina, or you want to be involved as a volunteer in one of the plan initiatives, contact, Emmy Lou Burchette at eburchette@advantagecarolina.org.
