If you are trying to concentrate your time on raising your page rank and you have a PR of 1, chances are you want to increase it! Well develop your content and the chances are people will be happy to link to your site. Most search engines are only looking to link to quality information so they are always developing techniques for sifting through the (excuse my French) crap!

Once upon a time you could pop in some fancy meta text, submit to thousands of search engines in one go, and the job was done. Now things are a lot more complex and we recommend you visit Google's Webmaster guidelines before going any further.

Page ranking is a complex process and is bead read straight from the mouths of Google engineers. If you are looking to get hits and increase your ranking then insure your linking text is along the lines of your chosen keyword.
