We are committed to the creative development of our students and faculty to have success as visual artists, and art historians. Art and Design students are equipped to function capably in their chosen area of the study. We strive to assemble an environment that is designed to encourage discovery, the flourishing of the creative process and encourage critical dialogue between student, faculty and our community.
The department offers advanced study in Art History, Ceramics, Drawing, Fibers, Graphic
Design, Jewelry and Metals, Photography, Printmaking, Painting, and Sculpture. Scholarship in these areas includes both graduate and undergraduate studies leading to BS, BFA, MA and MFA degrees.
The National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) accredits the Department of Art and Design since 1983.
Studio Art Centers International Florence - SACI
ETSU Department of Art and Design is proud to be a SACI consortium member. Through SACI we provide our students and faculty opportunities for work and study in Florence.
