The Theme for World Met. Day 2005 is 'Weather, Climate, Water
and Sustainable Development'. The Met Office is celebrating
by encouraging primary schools to organise activities which
focus on one particular aspect of sustainable development -
renewable energy. We have developed some
lesson plans for you to try with your class.
The Met Office is pleased to be supporting Einstein Year, in
particular the 'Weather' theme which is launched during February
2005. A range
of pages has been provided, containing experiments, quizzes
and fact sheets relating to weather. There is even a quiz which
pupils can complete to win a prize.
