Nagoya Service Shifts to New Centrair Airport

Northwest Airlines is pleased to announce that operations for all its flights to and from Nagoya will shift to the new Central Japan International Airport, known as "Centrair," effective February 17, 2005.

Constructed as a full-scale offshore airport in Ise Bay, Centrair is about 30 to 40 minutes from Nagoya by train or car. Centrair provides the central region of Japan with direct links to the worldwide air network, while offering smooth connections to domestic flights within Japan. With a 3,500m-long runway and around-the-clock service, Centrair will be Japan's third largest international airport.
