Hypnosis Treatment for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders
November 11-14, 2004

The Center presented a CME program for health care professionals on Hypnosis Treatment for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, jointly sponsored by The School of Medicine of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. The event was held at the William Charles Hamner Conference Center, North Carolina Biotechnology Center, Research Triangle Park, NC.

Also in 2004, the Center participated in an Update in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, jointly sponsored by The School of Medicine and The School of Nursing of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This Continuing Medical Education (CME) program was held April 30-May 2, 2004, at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill, NC. At this CME event, Center faculty and visitors presented during the session on "Functional Bowel Disease:"

On June 12, 2004, the Center sponsored a Patient Symposium on Understanding IBS and Other Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders. The event was held at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill, NC. (please see Public Education section)
