Soggy San Diego | Issued on: Sat Mar 5th 2005
An area of low pressure has brought a good deal of rain and showers, some thundery, to southwestern parts of America during the last day or so. San Diego in the far south of California recorded 36mm of rain falling in just 12 hours to 1200 GMT on Saturday. That is just short of the March average rainfall of 40mm.

Ko Samui Cloudburst | Issued on: Sat Mar 5th 2005
The island of Ko Samui lies in the western side of the Gulf of Thailand, just off the south Thailand coast. A band of heavy showers, some thundery spread westwards across the area, including the south of Thailand, during Saturday. During the 12 hours to 1200 GMT on Saturday, 55mm of rain was reported in Ko Samui, around half the March area average rainfall of 100mm.

Mostar Rain | Issued on: Sat Mar 5th 2005
Areas of low pressure and bands of rain have spread eastwards across Italy, the Adriatic Sea and into the Balkans during the last few days. Mostar, which lies in the south of Boznia Herzegovina, recorded 122mm of rain during the 54 hours to 1200 GMT on Saturday. That is just short of the March average of 132mm.

Cold Menorca | Issued on: Sat Mar 5th 2005
Strong, cold northerly winds affected Mahon, Menorca, in the Balearic Islands during much of Friday. The maximum temperature in Mahon only reached 8.5 degrees Celsius on Friday, over 7 degrees below the March average maximum.

Honduras Showers |Issued on: Sat Mar 5th 2005
Choluteca is a town in the south of Honduras, Central America. March is usually nearly dry with an average rainfall of just 9mm in Choluteca. During just 6 hours to 0600 GMT on Saturday, 24mm of rain fell from a thundery shower in Choluteca.
