As heard on National Public Radio, July 2004, Reporter Gloria Hillard said of Carol Ray "she might be considered the Irma Bombeck of the open road."

The baby boomers are beginning to think that there has to be a better way of life than struggling to purchase a large home and spending most of their free time driving to work. Many are investing in Recreational Vehicles and have not had an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of RVing. This book will make life much more enjoyable for them as it answers many, many questions. This RV handbook serves as an RV Travel for Beginners Guide.

"Your Home On Wheels"  has so much knowledge for the many newbies. Thousands of copies have been sold and there have been  nothing but outstanding
reviews from RVers who read "Your Home on Wheels".

When we became full-time Rvers, we were excited about getting a new
fifth wheel and truck and taking off for the wild blue yonder. We had never even owned a recreational vehicle prior to our retirement, and
had no idea what we were in for.

So many questions!
What kind of equipment do we need for travel?
What kind of RV is best for our needs?
What should we pack and what should we leave behind?

What kinds of clothing do we need to pack?
 What cookware do we need?
How do we keep things from falling on our on our head when we
open t he cupboards after traveling?
How do we get our mail and keep in touch with family?

First Trip:  Our first trip out took us from coast to coast.  We were gone   for 7 months and piled on about 15,000 miles on our Ford 350 It was truly a dream come true.  However, we had a lot to learn and learned most of it the hard way.

I spent a great deal of time doing research prior to our becoming full-timers, including reading numerous books on the subject.  Some of the books were good, some were not but none gave us the basic information we needed as beginners.  I complained about it to my husband, Bill, for almost a year. He finally said, "Quit complaining and write a book yourself!".  A year later I finished the book and we published "Your Home On Wheels".

Come read some reviews.

Before you go any further,  you might want to take a look at the RV terms!
