Congratulations to Dr.
Milena Head and
Dr.
Khaled Hassanein for
receiving the best paper award at the 17th Annual Bled Commerce Conference
(in Bled, Slovenia). Their paper was entitled "The
Influence of Product Type on Online Trust"and
the committee chair (Dr. Roger Clarke) indicated that this paper was clearly
the most outstanding paper at the conference and was unanimously selected
by the outstanding paper award committee. ...The
Bled eCommerce Conference is the longest running and most prestigious
international conference focusing on eCommerce issues. As a result of
receiving this award, their work, MeRC, DeGroote and McMaster University
in general received much visibility and recognition on the international
scene. Well done Milena and Khaled!

Small Business ONLINE course (for owners/managers of SMEs)
Get an overview of e-business and write
your e-business plan. The course is offered to the general public
through McMaster Centre for Continuing Education under the Management
Studies program. Visit the course site at the above link and add
your name to the online waiting list to be contacted by the MeRC
Manager about the Spring/Summer term which will begin May 2, 2005
for 13 weeks or proceed to CCE
site to register. Visa and MasterCard
accepted. The course is completely online. No on-campus attendance
