Who wants a larger penis?
Most body modifications - pectoral or penis enlargements, liposuction, chemical peels, etc - seem to do more harm than good and, in many cases, leave you with less than you started with.
There are much better ways to learn to like yourself more than to damage your body.
This may seem a harsh judgement, but given the repulsive nature of some of the processes of body modifications like penis enlargement, one has to wonder at the lengths a person is prepared to go to
make himself more attractive:
"When the suspensory ligaments are cut it is done through multiple incisions at the junction of the penis and the abdomen. The skin and fat is separated from the ligament, meaning
that your penis is temporarily removed for all intents and purposes. The ligament and associated tissues are then cut and divided.
The risk that blood vessels and nerves within the penis will be damaged in the process is significant. The penis is then stitched back onto your body and drains are implanted to
take off extra fluid. After two weeks the surgeon may elect to use weights that will force the penis to pull away from the body and this process alone will take six months of constant attention.
The risks associated with the process
are very significant. They include infection, scarring resulting
in loss of use or deformation, pain, irritation, numbness
and loss of sensitivity and complete and total loss of penile
functions."
Pumps, warm towels, lotions and potions provide alternative
methods for penis enlargement. However, use of pumps can lead
to burst blood vessels and worse.
In some cases, short term effects can be achieved but by
the same token, a short term effect can be caused by dropping
a window on your penis too. You will also enlarge your thumb
significantly if you strike it with a hammer.
Body modification for purposes other than medical disorders or accidents, or for some forms of body decoration is a dangerous practice. There are some parts of the human body that are not meant to be
changed, just as there are others that can be changed by hard work: your muscles, for example.
Being "proud" of your whole body, your intelligence, your ability to get along with others - your whole self attractiveness - is much more important than focusing on one relatively unimportant
appendage.
More importantly, there is no evidence that the self esteem of the man increases in any measurable way except in terms of his attitude to his penis. If that is the mature adult approach to life, freeze
me now!
I suggest you read "The Beauty Myth" by Naomi Wolfe*. Although it is a book written
about women it is a very different perspective on how what we think about ourselves is influenced by mass media so we will buy more.
Almost every method - including surgical procedures - will damage your penis. Some methods rely on bruising or crushing your penis so that it "deforms" into a longer or fatter shape. Others rip and
tear the inner walls of your penis, flooding the shaft with more blood to give the impression of a larger penis.
The results may include a larger penis, but that penis may look ugly and you may no longer be able to get and maintain an erection.
