White Oak Plantation Resort
Located in beautiful south central Alabama, along the Opintlocco Creek, White Oak encompasses over 16,000 acres of lush and fertile terrain that varies from low rolling hills of pine plantations and hardwood forests to crop lands and dense, wooded bottom lands and swamps. This varied habitat supports bountiful herds of whitetail deer, Eastern wild turkey, squirrel, rabbits, crows, bobcats, fox, beaver and coyote. Healthy, flight conditioned, released quail are brought in for the plantation style quail hunts. This is private land that is managed to maximize the growth and health of the wild animals that abound here.
White Oak has a year round program that offers something for every outdoor enthusiast. In addition to our renown hunting , White Oak has expanded it's summer program to include bird watching, nature trails, walking paths, fishing for large mouth Florida bass and bream, a full program of sporting clays with competitions and instruction, corporate meetings and get aways for groups of up to 30. If golfing is your passion, there are five courses within a 25. minute drive, including one course which is included in the Robert Trent Jones Trail.

In the spring and summer families and friends may gather regularly to enjoy the simple, natural pleasures; the sound of wind rustling through the trees, observing the wildlife that ambles through the property or gathering around a fire in the lodge. Fishermen may enjoy an early morning fishing trip on a misty pond by taking a short walk from their front door. Maybe the best activity of all could simply be doing nothing except enjoying a good book in a rocking chair on one of the porches.
