  • Opened September 15, 2001 at a cost of $332,140
  • Designed with the help of a Skateboard Committee of 10-15 skateboarders, of various skill levels, ranging in age from 12-20
  • Covers 19,000 square feet of fiberglass reinforced concrete
  • Located on city owned land near the Municipal Airport on the Service Road for the Rubber Bowl and Derby Downs and next to the Akron BMX track (map)
  • Features areas tailored to beginner, intermediate, and advanced skaters which include:
    • a 4 sided pyramid for stunts positioned in the middle
    • a large bowl sinking to a depth of 7 feet
    • a 65 foot snake roll leading into the bowl
    • a smaller bowl with a depth of 5 1/2 feet
    • a spine
    • stairs
    • ledges
    • rails
    • quarter pipes
  • No charge, year round, dawn to dusk, weather permitting
  • Rules are posted at the park
    Safety equipment is recommended
