Target Heart Rate
From Self.com

What's your target heart rate?

To get the greatest health benefits from your workout, you must elevate your heartbeat rate to a certain level - your target heart rate. Exercising at your target heart rate will help to improve cardiovascular health, reduce body fat and boost endurance.

Gender Female
Male
Age(18 - 120) years
Resting Heart Rate(5 - 25) beats per 10 secs
Fitness Level Excellent
Very Good
Good
Fair
Not Very Good
To learn how to determine your resting heart rate: Feel your pulse when you're at rest (not during or immediately after exercise) by placing your first and second fingers on the artery near the thumbside of the inside of your wrist, or on the neck near the larynx. Enter the number of beats you count in 10 seconds.

If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure or a history of breathing problems (e.g., asthma), check with your doctor before beginning or revising your exercise plan. Note: Medications may alter one's heart rate.
