• ETSU has over 170 campus organizations, 27 of which are honor societies.
• More than 1,000 ETSU students are serving the community through service-learning courses each year.
• ETSU is the only public institution in Tennessee offering an interdisciplinary leadership minor.
• ETSU's Leadership House is one of only three such living-learning communities in the country.
• ETSU's tutor corps is among the largest of the America Reads Challenge with over 30 students tutoring more than 300 children in the region.
• Volunteer ETSU, founded in 1986, is one of the strongest and longest serving student leader campus volunteer centers in the country.
• ETSU fraternities and sororities support 12 national philanthropies with significant monetary donations and service.

• Informal Recreation: swim, lift weights, walk or run, play basketball, racquetball, or squash
• Intramurals: men's, women's, and co-ed teams that students form with friends
• Fall Sports: softball, flag football, 3x3 basketball, and volleyball
• Spring Sports: 5x5 basketball and soccer

Athletics Facts

• 100% of our teams participated in community outreach programs, tutoring, and mentoring over 3,000 children
• Men's Basketball won the Southern Conference Tournaments in 2003 and 2004 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament
• Men's tennis won the Southern Conference Tournament in 2004
• Men's tennis and women's soccer have been awarded national academic honors over the past three seasons.
• ETSU student-athletes graduate at a rate higher than traditional students
• 87% of student-athletes graduate (national average is 60%)

• ETSU has 54 high-tech, multimedia classrooms and 57 computer labs with more than 1100 computers.
• ETSU Sherrod Library, a state-of-the-art facility, has more than 100 computers with 25 laptops available for checkout; Disability Services has six; the Medical Library has 20.
