Certification Handbook
This handbook details the NMMA certification programs and technical requirements. Contains Standards
and Recommended Practices from ABYC, along with the recreational boat trailer certification and warning
labels guidelines. Loose leaf format is updated as needed. This book is designed to help recreational
boat and trailer manufacturers comply with established standards and safety regulations.
Cost of the handbook is $200 (plus S&H;) for NMMA members and $150 for NMMA certified members (plus S&H;).
Copies of single chapters are available for $20.00 each (plus S&H;).

Engineering Resource Guide
The Resource Guide contains U.S.C.G. federal regulations as well as fuel, flotation and ventilation
guidelines. This guide contains U.S.C.G. requirements for all boatbuilders and compliments the NMMA
certification manual.
Single copies of the Resource Guide are $75.00 (plus S&H;) to NMMA certified members. Copies to members
are $100.00 each (plus S&H;).

Owner's Manuals
Owner's manuals have been compiled to help you operate your craft with safety and pleasure. They
contain details of the craft, typical equipment supplied or fitted, its systems, and information
on its operation and maintenance. We recommend that you read the manual carefully, and familiarize
yourself with the craft before using it.
The NMMA owners manual includes sections on Safety, Navigation, Environmental Considerations,
Emergency Procedures, Seaworthiness/Operational Inspection, Operation, Maintenance, Systems, and
Trailering. It is a comprehensive, yet readable tool designed specifically for you, the recreational

Recreational Sectoral Group Package
The Recreational Sectoral Group (RSG) package contains guidelines, instructions and application forms
for boat and marine component manufacturers to obtain certification to the European Boat Directive
(94/25/EC). This directive became effective 16 June 1998. Products must have a CE mark or they cannot
enter the European Council market.
Single copies of the RSG package are $50.00 (plus S&H;) to NMMA certified members. Copies to NMMA members
are $75.00 each (plus S&H;).
