The Importance of Being Earnest
Jean Cocteau Repertory continues its 32nd season with a
revival of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, which
plays in repertory with Henry V. The following synopsis of this
classic comedy is from the press release: "Jack loves Gwendolyn. Gwendolyn
loves Ernest. Algernon loves Cecily. Cecily loves Ernest. Jack and
Algernon are both Ernest, or so the ladies think. Who is Ernest, in
earnest? Join them, the imposing Lady Bracknell, and a nanny with an
improbable tale involving a handbag, as they sort it all out." |
