The Division of Theatre seeks to produce theatre that will educate and entertain our students, faculty, staff and members of the community. The Division of Theatre seeks to
enhance the cultural environment of the region through the theatre arts. Division of Theatre Programs The theatre program provides pre-professional training in (a) theatre design and technology and (b) acting and directing. Professional opportunities include careers in theatre management, acting, directing, design, dramaturgy, and theatre technology with community, regional, educational, and professional theatre settings. The theatre concentration requires 36 credit hours of course work; the minor, 21 credit hours. A teacher education minor in theatre requires 24 credit hours. A minor is required of all students majoring in the theatre concentration. Those electing to major in theatre may not minor in the same area. For the baccalaureate degree, 128
