Mini guide to Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Euro Airport
EuroAirport is on French soil, connected to Switzerland by a customs road, and is shared with Basel (Switzerland), Mulhouse (France), and the German city of Freiburg. There is an annual capacity for five million passengers.
There are two passenger terminals consisting of an international terminal and a domestic terminal, as well as a cargo terminal, containing both Swiss and French sectors.
Essential passenger facilities include a bank, ATMs and a bureau de change (open 24 hours), but there is no left-luggage service at the airport. Toilets, lifts and specially lowered public telephones for the disabled are all available.
There is a restaurant on the fifth floor, serving both sectors; bars and snack bars are located on levels 2, 3 and 4, and there are several duty-free shops in the International Terminal.
Buses serve the SNCF railway station in Mulhouse. BVB bus number 30 and Air Line bus number 50 run a service to Basel, while Südbaden Bus (SBG) operates a service between the airport and Freiburg. The airport can be reached from the A35 motorway from Mulhouse and Basel as well as Flughafen Strasse from Basel. From Freiburg, take the A5 south.
Taxi stands are located in front of the Arrivals hall on the French and Swiss sides. There are car parks on both the French and Swiss sides with 2,000 short-term and 5,000 long-term parking spaces available.
An airport information booth is situated in the Arrivals hall, on the second floor, between the French and Swiss sides of the airport.
