CHARTER BOAT TOURS

Most of the time you will find Captain Art and LUCKY STRIKE running charter boat tours on the great lakes.  Our home port is on Lake Erie in Ashtabula, Ohio.  We spend much of the year there running Ashtabula charters for many trophy fish.  If you don't use us for a charter boat fishing trip you may need Captain Art for some other services we offer:

Other services available from LUCKY STRIKE

  • Over the water boat deliveries.  Whether it be a private individual, corporate vessel, or marine dealer to name a few there comes a time when you need a vessel transported from one port to another.  Many owners get their vessel transported to different areas to follow fish or fishing tournaments.  Other owners, due to their busy schedules do not have the time to transport their vessel themselves and just need it at certain ports during certain times.   Captain Art will accommodate your needs and meet your schedules.  He has never had an on the water accident.

  • Commercial towing assistance.  Every boaters grief or nightmare.....needing help on the water.  Captain Art is licensed for commercial towing assistance and recognized by the local Coast Guard offices.  If you are broke down on the water and need towing assistance call the USCG on your marine radio and they will ask you if you would like them to broadcast a MARB (marine assistance radio broadcast)  You will get a response from people who may be able to assist you.  The Coast Guard will monitor both vessels progress to a safe harbor.

  • New boat owner assistance.  If anyone has ever observed a boat launch on a busy weekend they certainly know that new boat owners need a lot of help.  Why not hire the captain for the day.  With his mechanical ability and years of experience towing and operating boats I'm sure he can guide you through the complete process of maintaining, towing, launching, and operating a vessel safely.

  • On the water emergency repairs.  The captain may be able to save you a very costly tow on the water.  We are equipped with more tools aboard than the average boater carries and with the captains mechanical experience he may be able to troubleshoot your problem and get you underway.  This is a tremendous savings versus having your vessel towed to port.

  • Mobile marine repairs and PM's.  Captain Art can make his way to dockside for certain marine repairs and pm's.  If you do not get a good commissioning check done prior to launch each year you certainly should.  We have a detailed mechanical and safety checklist which should be followed each season.  During the season every vessel requires maintenance of some sort, oil and filter changes, etc. as well as new equipment and updates to install.
