Search phrase down unique hits up

Just the other week I posted saying the essexuncovered.com searches are back. After a brief period of being out of the top for ‘essex clubs’, ‘essex bars’, etc the site was back at number 1. The unique hits for the week were 11097.

This weeks unique visitors look like this:

Tuesday, February 15, 2005 2331 4.10%

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 2610 4.59%

Thursday, February 17, 2005 2505 4.40%

Friday, February 18, 2005 2503 4.40%

Saturday, February 19, 2005 2300 4.04%

Sunday, February 20, 2005 2095 3.68%

Monday, February 21, 2005 2695 4.74%

Total: 14417

As you can see there is an increase by about 28%, but the searches have gone again. No where to be found for ‘essex clubs’. I am sure this will come back, but am trying to work out the Google yoyo effect.

Looking at the top refers by domains for the last week:

If is mostly Google images and Google searches. The keyword searches all seem to be relevant also, so if you know of the bizarre fluxuation in searches, please poet to the message board. The top search words are essexuncovered and essex uncovered. This is great and is a sign of the brand and site truly being established.

Search phrase down unique hits up

Linking your website from a site with a higher page rank can be a great help for your own website's page ranking. Page ranking is a complex process and is bead read straight from the mouths of Google engineers. If you are looking to get hits and increase your ranking then insure your linking text is along the lines of your chosen keyword. For example, when you add your site to our free directory the keywords that link to your site will increase your placing for that particular keyword.
