'Bellue Vue' is made up of four stone cottages plus our own house,arranged around a courtyard with ample parking space. They are in the village of Puyravault at the southernmost limit of the Vendee, only 15 miles from beautiful La Rochelle. The cottages, sleeping 4, 4, 6 and 6 have been tastefully and sypathetically modernised to retain many of their original features such as exposed beams and stone walls.

Belle Vue is situated in the National Park 'Marais Poitevin'. It is on the edge of a small village which has a bakery, grocers,and bar/restaurant. In the village two miles away are further restaurants, post office, bank etc. This is one of the most visited regions of France, not long discovered by the English. It is the second sunniest region, with this particular area having a microclimate which gives us exceptional weather. We are ideally placed between La Rochelle, La Tranche (beaches), Lucon, and the Venice Verte, a criss-crossing network of canals and rivers passing through many, picturesque villages. We have several quality golf courses close by, and dedicated cycle tracks and nature reserves.

The cottages are furnished and fitted to a high standard. They are arranged around a courtyard and each is totally independent. The walls between the cottages are thick stone, so noise is not a problem. The swimming pool with it's underwater lighting and sun terrace is fully enclosed for safety. The pool building offers welcome shade, and a fridge to ensure that you can keep cool drinks to hand.

A second, single storey propery, similar to La Chouette with slightly smaller living space, but it's location overlooking the garden more than makes up for that.

A beautiful, light airy gite. There is a good size kitchen with washing machine, fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave oven, double sink... The living area has sofa, dining suite, TV, DVD and CD players. There is a downstairs double bedroom with en-suite toilet and washroom. The large, luxury, shower and toilet is also on the ground floor.
