A preliminary wrapper is now available that enables the use of the standard Perl Business::OnlinePayment modules with Interchnage. Business::OnlinePayment is a set of related CPAN perl modules for processing payments with different online gateways.

In a recent thread (updated and correct link)in the interchange-users mailing list
Tom Hodder claimed that a technical staff member of a company he is working for told him:

"I have used interchange, but it doesn't run for very long before the daemon drops dead".

This has been answered by a lot of stories about how
stable Interchange is running on a well-maintained
machine.

You may recall that Neil Hambleton of Henley Management College posted an invitation for a survey on Open Source Software. Six open source projects were compared. Besides Interchange, the other projects were PHP, Zope, MySQL, Postgres, and OpenOffice.

Interchange users responded at a high rate, and provided more responses than any project except Postgres.
