Help with eBay Search Results:
SuperPages.com lets you search for millions of items being offered through eBay.
What is eBay?
eBay is an online marketplace - a place for buyers and sellers to come together and trade almost anything.
How does it work?
A seller lists an item on eBay - from antiques to cars, books to sporting goods. The seller chooses to accept only bids for the item (an "online auction") or to offer the "Buy It Now" option, which allows buyers to purchase the item right away.
In an online auction, the bidding opens at a price the seller specifies and remains on eBay for a certain number of days. Buyers then place bids on the item. When the listing ends, the buyer with the highest bid wins!
In fixed price listings that offer Buy It Now, the first buyer willing to pay the seller's price gets the item.

- Select "Show search form" at the left side of any results page, and choose "eBay" as the type of search
- Or go to the home page and select the eBay link

- Select from the "Narrow your results" section at the left of the page. Each selection is added to the "Current Selection" list, and the number of results goes down

- Search again with different or more general keywords
- Check to make sure you have selected the correct category
- Check to make sure you have chosen the correct "Display Options"
- Enter spaces between words (e.g., use "digital camera" and not "digitalcamera")
- Expand any abbreviations
- Try synonyms of the keyword
- Remove selections from "Narrow your results" by clicking the "undo" link in the "Current Selection" area

When I use eBay through SuperPages.com, am I purchasing from SuperPages.com?
No. SuperPages.com is not a store -- it is a shopping search engine that helps you find and compare products, prices and stores online and offline, new or used, fixed price or auction. Once SuperPages.com has helped you find what you are looking for on eBay, click on a link to go directly from the SuperPages.com site to the eBay site in order to bid on or buy the item.
If I have a problem or question concerning the product I've bid on through eBay, will SuperPages.com help me resolve it?
No. Since all bidding occurs at the eBay site, all questions and issues must be addressed through eBay at eBay Customer Service.
If you would like to learn more about getting started on eBay and how it works, go to eBay's Getting Started page. If you wanted to learn more about customer service issues and other topics, go to their Help page.

| Use these tips to find eBay items at SuperPages.com: |
| |
Try different search words |
| |
There are many words to describe any item. Imagine which words a seller might use for the item you're seeking. Try several different options and combinations but use just two or three words at a time to be sure you get a variety of results. |
| |
Use specific words instead of general ones |
| |
For example, a search for Beatles poster will return fewer, more-targeted listings than a search for Beatles. |
| |
For a closer match, specify a date, color or brand |
| |
For example, to find a particular Barbie item, don't just type Barbie in the search box. If you're looking for a Barbie dress made in the 1960s, enter: Barbie dress 196*. (Learn more about the using an asterisk for wildcard searches in If you want only red dresses, type: Barbie red dress. search commands.) Remember: be specific and narrowly define your search! |
| |
Search title and descriptions to get more matches |
| |
Search always looks for your keywords in the title of the items for sale. Click on search titles and descriptions under the search box to also search item descriptions. You'll get many more results. |
| |
Add or remove the letter s for more results |
| |
For example, you'll get two different lists of items when you search for diamond rings and diamond ring. Try your search with and without the final s. |
| |
Be careful when using and, or, and the |
| |
eBay's search engine searches for and, or, and the just like it would any other word. Use and, or, and the only if you're searching for items containing these words, such as Diana Ross and the Supremes or Truth or Dare. (To search for one term and/or another, learn eBay's search commands.) |
| |
Don't use extra punctuation |
| |
Only use punctuation in your search if you expect it to be in the item title or description you're searching. Examples include t-shirt, N-Sync and Dr. Watson. (Learn the search commands for punctuation commands that narrow your search.) |
