Staffing Agency Seizes Strengthening Job Market

While many companies were reducing their advertising, Kingwood Personnel launched an aggressive marketing campaign – and it paid off.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) July 30, 2004 -- Over the last 24 years Carol McCord has watched her staffing agency, Kingwood Personnel, foretell economic cycles. So last summer when she saw signs of a strengthening job market, she decided to aggressively seize the opportunity. While many companies were reducing their advertising, Kingwood Personnel launched an aggressive marketing campaign – and it paid off.

Despite tight cash flow Kingwood Personnel hired Level Ten Design for a 21st century makeover. Kingwood spent $22,000 on a new logo, business cards, stationary, job folders, premium website, search engine marketing and mailers. They also invested $15,000 on a new sales and telemarketing position for a 6 month period.

What did their $37,000 investment buy them? They doubled their money in just 6 months. Kingwood Personnel reported a $73,000 increase in profits within the first 6 months of the marketing campaign launch.

“Things have definitely picked up from last year," Carol McCord reports, “our revenues are up by a third.”

Kingwood strives to maintain a balance between modernization and good old fashion relationship building. “We use modern qualifying tools, but what makes us different is that we try to match the applicant and client by getting to know both of them personally.”

This philosophy is echoed in their new identity and website. The look is neo-retro. It is high-tech but also reminiscent of days when personal relationships ruled the business world. Tom McCracken, Director of LevelTen Design stated, “The goal was to create an emotional brand that captured Kingwood’s charismatic yet professional attitude.”

The distinctive look coupled with strategic online and offline marketing is working well for kingwoodpersonnel.com. “Our site receives the second most hits for Houston temp agencies and many people have complimented us on the website, including people in the IT and network design field” reports Carol, “we are getting a large number of resumes in through our online systems.”

As a result of their foresight, Kingwood Personnel is ideally positioned to capitalize on the strengthening job market.

Kingwood Personnel is a certified women owned business in the north Houston area. Kingwood specializes in placement of secretarial, clerical and accounting positions. Carol McCord founded the company in 1980. To learn more visit http://www.kingwoodpersonnel.com
