What is URL normalization and why is it done?
Our software performs this normalization, which is required for proper URL submission. The rules for normalization usually involve lowercasing of the scheme and the Internet host name components, removing the explicit port specification if it matches the default port, uppercasing all escape sequences, and unescaping octets that can be better represented as plain characters. Normalization includes adding a trailing "/" to your URL in cases where a document is not explicitly specified to make the string you just entered a True URL and ensures the URL is well formed.

What happens to URLs if customers choose not to renew their subscription at the end of 12 months?
Overture will automatically evaluate each URL for continued inclusion in its index. As with any URL that is obtained by either crawling or free submission, no assurance of inclusion is provided. The daily refresh that is provided for Express Inclusion URLs will be discontinued, and WorldSubmit support for expired URLs will no longer be available. For customers with multiple URLs in the Express Inclusion program, all URLs that remain active will continue to receive the full benefits of the program.

What happens if I choose to auto-renew my Site Match URL?
If you choose to auto-renew a URL in Site Match after the 12 month subscription, that URL, will be re-reviewed by Overture before it is allowed to be renewed. WorldSubmit will notify you two weeks prior to your URL's expiration date that your credit card on file will be billed for renewal. If you do not want your URL to be automatically renewed, you will be able to change the renewal status of your URL either from the View URL Status pages in your Account Management Center or by contacting WorldSubmit via email at support@worldsubmit.com. You must change the renewal status of your URL at least seven days before the URL's expiration date in order to not be billed for renewal.
