Web Site Optimisation & Promotion Presentation

Who, What, Where, When, Why & How
That's What Will Be Answered During This Presentation

Who? Anthony Parsons (me) is a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) professional, some say expert, but I like professional better. I have been hiding in the background working for others and participating in the web site optimisation and  promotion industry since about 97/98. Now I am solo since 03, full time, running my own business and providing the absolute best I can provide to my customers. I attempt to keep things simple and don't like to complicate matters more than they need to be. I don't know everything, nor will I pretend too. What I do know, is how to get a website to perform within the search engines and market it as a whole on the Internet. Please take note that I am now retired from full-time work, and only accept selected clientele.

What? Search Engine Optimisation! What is it really? It is the skill required to assist your website to perform within the search engines. Search Engine Marketing (SEM)! What is it? The ability to market a website within the given region/s to attract the most relevant users. What do we do at anthonyparsons.com? We do both! One without the other is only half a job in reality. Ranking highly in the search engines is great, but so is being seen all over the Internet. Sometimes one, sometimes the other, or both in combination. Targeted traffic is what I deliver, not lots of worthless traffic to make impressive statistics. When you get a visit, you want it to convert to a sale or enquiry, and that's what I do best. One hundred visits and ten sales is a better monthly figure than one thousand visits and ten sales.

Where? On your server (webhost). That's where everything is done. You own everything once I have finished my job. I don't need to create extra domains that create more management, I don't need to use illegal or unethical techniques under new domains to achieve the aim. Our team will simply adjust, modify and enhance your current site (domain) to perform where [Pullout: you want it to convert to a sale or enquiry, and that's what I do best.]needed, when needed, for relevant terms.

When? A great campaign can take from a fortnight to a year or more. Optimisation and marketing do not happen overnight. Optimisation can be performed quickly, but then you must wait for the search engines to catch up. A link campaign can take months to help improve results within the engines for mild to competitive phrases. Three to six months is the standard, but it can take a lot longer depending upon what phrases are required and what other marketing techniques are employed.

Why? Well, lets face it, there are literally billions of websites currently on the Internet with thousands more created every day.  To stand out from the competition you need quality web site optimisation, promotion and marketing otherwise your site will be one of many rarely, if ever seen. Pay Per Click is extremely expensive for mildly competitive to competitive terms and it is here that free rankings come into their own as the most competitive to compete within the engines. Many fall into the trap of saying, "But I rank #1 for my domain name, business name or some obscure name that isn't even searched by users". Your domain name and business name should always rank #1. They are your own, unique terms or phrases not used by anyone else, this is why you should always rank #1. Whether you want informational traffic, traffic for leads or traffic for sales, targeted traffic for actual searched terms is what you need.

How? That's what the rest of this presentation is about. The World Wide Web is unique and unlike other advertising mediums such as newspapers, magazines, television or radio.  The Internet brings with it a wider broadcast and with that comes a wider audience to appeal too.
