Drivers License
You can get your drivers license when you reach a certain age,
depending in which state you reside. Typically, you can get your license at
16,
with some states offering a learning permit before the age of 16. The
steps to get your license are simple, visit your department of motor
vehicles and be prepared to take a written test as well as the driving
test.
On the written examination to get your driver's license, all the
questions that you receive should be directly taken from the driver's manual
that is also availble at the DMV. Be cautious and take your time,
because at times, the questions can be confusing.
In the actual driving test, an examiner will ride with your in your
vehicle to instruct you on what to do and where to go in order to pass
your driving test and get your driving license. The most daunting task in
this process is parallel parking, but others might argue that the
3-point turn is the most demanding.
Most people in the United States have a driver's license, but you must
remember, driving is a priveledge, and not a right. Your license can be
revoked at any time for a traffic violation or some other vehicle
infringement.
