Welcome
to the Sitte River Marina, your base for cruising supplies and wonderful
adventures! You can leave your boat in our boat basin under 24 hour
security and participate in any of our inland adventures including
rainforest / waterfall trekking, caving, birding and Mayan ruins!

Why
not take an evening off your boat and join us at Jaguar Reef Lodge
for a delicious meal,  be
it breakfast lunch or dinner! A shuttle runs regularly between the
marina and the Jaguar Reef Lodge, which is free for boaters. Jaguar
Reef Lodge offers a spectacular beachfront location and full dining,
bar and tour facilities. These facilities are open to  our boating guests to enjoy, as is our Iguana
Day Lodge
which is located further 1/2 mile up river from the Marina and is
an excellent place to kayak, fish, view wildlife, or just relax in
one of many hammocks or shaded seating areas on the property. A licensed
bar and bathroom facility are located at the Iguana Lodge and a shuttle
runs regularly between Iguana, the Marina and Jaguar Reef Lodge. Don't
miss a hike down our new Jaguar Trail which is adjacent the Lodge.
Come at sunset and bring your repellant! The birding tower at the
end of tis 1/2 mile trail provides unobstructed, panoramic views of
the nearby Mayan Mountains and the vast savanah which is home to many
plant and animal species. |

DIRECTIONS
TO THE SITTEE RIVER MARINA: We are approximately 1mile east of the mouth
of the Sittee River. We are about half way between Dangriga and Placencia.
The entry is marked with a light house on the south and 3 poles on the
north of the mouth. Just follow the poles on the south side into the river.
Continue upstream until you see us.
Water depth at the river's mouth is approximately 4.5 feet at mean low tide,
5.5 feet at high tide. |
