Why should I submit to search engines and directories?
Because search engines and directories are the main
sources of traffic for almost every website. Traffic
you receive from search engines is already targeted.Visitors
arriving at your site from search engines have entered
a keyword relevant to your site, so they are already
interested in your product or service. This is the best
source of potential customers you can have. Search engines
are free to users and users know where and how to use
them. Search engines are also the number one way where
users find new sites. Surveys show that over 85% of
users rely on search engines to locate information on
the Web. Furthermore, submitting to directories will
also boost your link popularity which is an extremely
important factor for your site's ranking on search engines.
How long does it take for the search engines
to list my site?
It is entirely up to each search engine or directory.
Please note that many search engines take a few days
to a few weeks to index your web sites to their database.
Many major search engines take more than 4 weeks even
8 weeks to index your web page. Please give yourself
enough time for the engines to add your site to the
database.
How long will it take before I notice a significant
increase in the ranking of my site?
The full effect of web promotion can anywhere up to
6 months. If you plan on a quick ROI, website promotion
is not for you. However, if you plan to have a website
that will be around for months and years to come, promoting
your website on search engines will yield the best return
on investment.
Each engine indexes at a different rate, but as a general
rule, you must allow at least 2 months before search
engines will apply ranking to new content. In Google,
most experts agree that new content is placed in a reserve
for about 3 months before it even has a chance to achieve
good ranking. This is called the "Sandbox Effect".
According to this popular theory, new web pages and
links are placed in a "quarantine" for at
least 8 to 12 weeks of evaluation before they are allowed
to gain any top rankings. (read more here).
Beware of SEO Companies who promise "Fast"
results. We don't make these empty promises. There is
just no way to "speed up" this process, because
each search engine has it's own agenda for spidering
and ranking websites. This does take time, but before
long there will be visitors arriving at your site from
all directions!
Which search engines, directories and other
popular indices do we submit to?
We constantly improve the list of search engines, directories
and other sites that we submit to. This involves appending
and deleting sites from the list regularly. We will
always submit your site to the most popular search engines,
directories and other indices.
What is a meta tag?
META tags are used by some search engines to determine
the ranking of your site in their search results.
Do I need meta tags?
Yes, and the most important "tag" is the title,
followed by the description "tag".
Which search engines and directories do you
submit to?
We only submit your site to the top search engines and
directories, These are the ones that will generate traffic
to your site. No junk, just real search engines and
directories. You can see the list of search engines
and directories we submit to here.
What is the difference between a Search Engine and a
Directory?
Search Engines rely on automated tools
called "robots" to collect information from
websites. This information is added to the Search Engine's
database, based on a number of criteria, including page
content, page title, links, etc. Google
and MSN
Search are two well-known Search Engines.
Directories use human editors to look
at websites and to decide how to categorize sites for
inclusion. Yahoo!
and Open
Directory Project are two popular Directories.
What are Search Engine robots?
Robots are automated tools used by Search Engines
to look at a website. When a robot crawls your site,
it notes the title and content of your web pages, links
within the site, etc. The Search Engine uses this information
to decide what your site is about, so that it can properly
categorize it in the Search Engine's database.
Why isn't my site listed on the search engines?
This occurs for a variety of reasons. Many search engine
and directory sites require between 6 weeks up to 6
months to list a site. Your site could also be listed
but not ranking properly.
Will I receive spam after my site is submitted?
Some of the search engines and directories sends out
a confirmation email. You may also be added to their
newsletter. We recommend that you use an alternative
email account for the submission.
Will you submit my site to all search engines
in your list?
Your website will be added to all the engines on the
list that match your profile. Some engines are restricted
to certain countries or parts of the world. We will
however, submit your website to at least 120 search
engines and directories. Note that not all submissions
will be successful. Search engines and directories are
sometimes unable to accept a submission due to downtime,
upgradings of their system or some other reason.
Parts of my site is "under construction"
can I still submit it to the search engines?
We recommend that you do not submit sites with "under
construction" pages, they will probably not be
accepted by most of the directories.
Do you provide a submission report?
Yes, a submission report in HTML format will be sent
to you via email, within minutes after you submit. This
lets you know where you were successfully submitted,
and what sites your website was not submitted to.
Do you guarantee inclusion and top ranking on
the search engines?
Each search engine has it's own technique when they
rank pages so it is not possible for any company to
guarantee that. We will submit your site to the search
engines and directories but after that it is is entirely
up to each search engine or directory to decide if they
accept the site
or not.
How can I improve my ranking in the Search
Engines and Directories?
The best way to improve your ranking is by incorporating
good design and good content into your pages. People
who come to a website are looking for information, and
the best sites are those with the best information.
If you have good text and tell a compelling story, you
will rank higher. If it is easier for people to move
around your site to collect that information, you will
rank higher.
How might I hurt my ranking in the Search Engines
or Directories?
One obvious answer is the lack of good content in your
pages. In addition, there are certain technologies which,
if integrated into your site, may actually decrease
the ranking of your site: frames, Flash movies, image
maps, reliance on JavaScript for navigation, dynamic
pages, and several others. These technologies, while
making a site exciting for human visitors, can cause
problems for the Search Engine robots. Robots don't
understand these design elements, and may not fully
crawl your site. This means that your site may not be
fully included in the Search Engines.
What kind of guarantee, if any, do you provide?
We guarantee our best efforts to maximize your web site's
visibility on the search engines and we guarantee that
you will see results. We understand the web and how
to best promote web sites. We also understand how searches
are done by the major search engines, link lists and
directories and we endeavor to stay current with their
ever changing methods. The search engines, link lists
and directories, however, control how information is
indexed and presented to users and their methods, as
well as their databases, are constantly changing. So,
even though a well ran promotion may produce additional
traffic in the short term, there is no way to guarantee
that level of traffic to continue or increase without
an ongoing marketing program like we provide. However,
as good as we are at our business, no one can really
guarantee the best ranking on all search engines or
even on one in particular.
Do you have a money back guarantee policy?
Yes! All our services include a full 30 day money back
guarantee. If you are not happy with our service, please
contact us within the first 30 days for a full refund.
Please view our Cancellation/Refund
Policy for more details.
How do search engine listings compare to banner
ads, bulk email, or affiliate programs?
A study conducted by NPD
Group, a research group specializing in consumer
purchasing and behavior, tested the impact of search
listings, bulk email, and affiliate programs across
a variety of target markets to determine which was most
effective. In every situation, search engine listings
came out on top. Results? Consumers are 12 times more
likely to purchase your products or services after finding
your web site through a search engine than all these
other programs combined!
How often shall I submit my web sites to search
engines? (Does my web site will be banned by search
engines if I submit to often?)
Different engines act differently. Generally, you can
re-submit your web site once per month.
For Spider Engines, if your web site
has been indexed already, the search engine's "Robot"
will re-visit your web site at a regular time(normally
once or twice per month) and update their database with
the changes you have made.
For Directory Engines, generally you
don't need to re-submit it again if your web site has
been indexed already. Most of the directory engines
only accept the one main URL only. If you over submit,
you will be considered as "spam" may cause
your web site to be banned by the search engines.
You can re-submit your web site again if you make any
changes to your web site. We suggest that you should
always make some minor changes to your web site, so
that the search engines will consider your web site
are well maintain and it will also help to improving
your web ranking. If your web site isn't indexed by
the search engines, you can re-submit your web site
again once per month. We suggest that make some changes
to your web site contents before re-submitting.
Avoid Spamming
If you submit your web site too often, you will be considered
as "spam" and your web site will be banned
by the search engines. Here are some general rules when
submitting your web site:
1. Do not submit the SAME URL multiple times in one
day.
2. Do not submit more than 5 different URLs under the
same domain in one day.
3. If you have many URLs(or pages) under the same domain,
please only submit 3 to 5 pages each day.
4. Always make some changes to your web site before
re-submitting.
5. Do not re-submit the SAME URL more than once per
month.
Why are there submission failures on the Submission
Report?
Because of the ever-changing nature of Search Engines,
internet traffic condition, and network congestion on
the Internet, it is not uncommon that you will experience
some failures on each submission campaign. Normally,
you can simply re-submit the failed engines again at
an other time.
Why aren’t my web sites indexed by the Search
Engines? (We have been using your product for around
5 weeks now, submitting about every week or so, however,
we’re not showing up anywhere on any of the major
Search Engines. What am I doing wrong?)
Your web site URLs are embedded in JavaScript.
