In Florence Today operates exclusively with native Florentine professional
guides who use all their experience to organize tailor-made visits throughout
all Florence, its museums and its monuments. Doing their best to satisfy
all your needs for a memorable stay, however special they may be.
OUR
TOURS
Our tours are for small, private parties. We do not group different people
together. Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Florence, at the time
you choose. The tour will be entirely designed to meet your interests,
curiosities, and any requirements for seeing Florence. On request, we
can also provide assistance and guide services for educational programs
or cultural events.
HOW
TO BOOK
Select a tour among those shown on the righthand side of this page. Specify
date, number of participants, the hotel in which you'll be staying in
Florence, and write to us for reservations. One of our guides will promptly
reply and provide all the necessary information and details. Should you
need any advice about selecting a tour, feel free to contact us, and we'll
be happy to help you ! As soon as you confirm (that should be at least
two weeks before the tour), we'll send you your guide's name and cell
phone number. Book a tour guide in Florence Italy and confirm your reservation
one week before your arrival!
Cost
and form of Payment
We charge 65 Euro/hour. Up to 8 people. Most of the tours last 3 hours.
So calculate 195 euros for a three hours tour of Florence.
Entrance fees to museums, churches and transportation are not included.
You'll pay directly in cash or travelers' cheques.
Museums
and Exhibitions
We
also conduct tours in the Museums: National Bargello Museum, Uffizi Gallery,
Academy of Fine Arts, Pitti Palace...
Would you like to visit the major art exhibitions in town with an expert?
Contact us and we'll provide you specialist. Our fee is 130 euros for
a two hour visit for a party up to 8 people. |

FROM ITS ORIGINS TO MIDDLEAGE
This is a preliminary introduction to the history of the city, particularly
recommended to visitors who have never been to Florence before or
have a short time to spend.
- Piazza della Repubblica, once upon the time the seat of the roman

- Cathedral Square with Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Giotto's
Bell Tower, the Baptistry with Ghiberti’s Doors of Paradise
- Signoria Square , the seat of the secular life, with its fortified
and massive Town Hall, and outdoor sculptures
- The Old Brigde once the seat of the butcheries, nowday worldy famous
for its jewellery shops
- The franciscan Church of Santa Croce with the tombs of some the
italian masters: Michelangelo, Galilei, Rossini

S. Croce € 4 per person. The churches are CLOSED on Sunday morning.

UFFIZI
GALLERY AND THE ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS
A must to the visitor who wants to learn about florentine renaissance
painting and sculpture.
- In the Uffizi we will visit the rooms of the renaissance civilisation
with Masaccio, Lippi, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo,
Raphael Titian and the new opened wings of the gallery.
- The visit will continue at the Academy of Fine Arts with Michelangelo’s
David, his Slaves, Saint Mathew and one of his Pieta.
The tour lasts four hours.
Admission:
Uffizi Euro 12.50, Accademia Euro 11.50. CLOSED on Monday.

PALACE AND BOBOLI GARDENS
The granducal palace at the time of the Medici and its history trhough
the centuries.
- Visit to the winter apartment now aday the seat of the Palatine
Gallery, with its painting collection: Raphael, Titian, Rubens, Van
Dyck, Lippi.
- Visit of the Royal Apartments.
- Visit of the splendid XVI-XVII century Boboli Gardens one of the
finest example of Italian topiary garden.

THE
NATIONAL 'BARGELLO' MUSEUM OF SCULPTURE AND FLORENTINE SCULPTURE
- The early XIII century building once the seat of the foreign governor
“ the Podestà” now houses one of the laegerst XV
and XVI sculpture italian collection, works by Donatello, Ghiberti
and Brunelleschi’s panels for the 1401 competion for the second
door to the Bptistry, Verrocchio, Della Robbia, Michelangelo, Cellini,
Giambologna.
- Piazza Signoria, the secular hearth of the city and staggering example
of an outdoor sculpture museum
- Cathedral Square 'Duomo', vist of the Cathedral, Giotto Bell Tower,
San John the Baptist Baptistry with Ghiberti’s Gate of Paradise
