nwa.com Reservations Instructions

Northwest Airlines makes it easy to plan and purchase your travel online with nwa.com Reservations. You can search flights, cars and hotels to find the lowest fares that fit your travel needs. You can also search and book using your WorldPerks Miles.

How to Get Started:

To make a reservation with nwa.com Reservations go to Search for Flights & Fares from the left side of the homepage at nwa.com. If you are a resident in Canada you can select Shop for Flights from the Reservations Center menu. Then under where it says 'Where and when do you want to travel?' select the link provided there for Canadian residents. If you are a resident outside of the United States or Canada you will need to select Worldwide Sites at the very top of the page.

Step 1: Search for Flights and Fares Select Roundtrip, One-way, or Multi-city. Select your preference for searching by Price, Price/Schedule, Schedule, or WorldPerks Award. Enter the departure city in the From box, and the destination city in the To box. Note: You may enter the full city name or the three letter airport code. Select your month, day, and time of travel in the Departure Date and Return Date drop-down boxes. Select the number of adult passengers in the Number of Adults drop-down box. If you have travelers that are not adults or would like to specify additional search options, such as, nonstop flights only or a cabin class other than Coach, click on More Search Options. If you have a NWA E-Cert you wish to redeem, please click on the NWA E-Cert link. To begin searching for your flights click Search. If you are searching for WorldPerks Award fares, after selecting Search, skip down to the Login and Registration section below.

Step 2: Flight Selections Choose the Select button next to the flight(s) you would like to reserve. When you Search by Flight or Multi-city you will need to choose the Select button until all flights have been selected.

Login & Registration: If not already logged in, you will be asked to Login. You will use your WorldPerks Account Number, PIN, and Last name. If you have not previously registered with nwa.com Reservations, you will be prompted to do so. Registration is quick, easy and free. Once your registration is complete, you can immediately continue with your reservation on nwa.com. If you do not know your WorldPerks Account Number or do not have a WorldPerks Account Number, click on the links next to the WorldPerks Account Number field for assistance. If you need PIN Help, click on the link next to the PIN field.

Step 3: Review Flight Selection Review the details of the flights you have selected; including fare, number of passengers, dates and times, and fare rules and restrictions. Check the check box under the Review the Rules and Restrictions section, indicating that you have read and agree to all fare rules of your itinerary. Under Traveler(s) select the passengers name in the drop-down box or enter their full first name, middle initial, and last name in the appropriate field Select Review Preferences and Complete Purchase to continue with your reservation.

Step 4: Review Preferences Review all traveler Preferences and Special Requests to ensure that they contain accurate information. Select a previously saved credit card from the Billing Information area or enter a new credit card with billing address. You may choose to select your seats here or wait until your purchase is completed. Click Continue to proceed.

Step 5: Purchase Summary Review the Total Trip Cost and Traveler(s) again to make sure that they are accurate before purchase. Click Purchase to complete your reservation and charge your credit card (only if charges apply.)

Step 6: Purchase Confirmation

1. When your purchase is confirmed a Purchase Confirmation page will be returned. This page will contain your flight details and your confirmation number. You may print this page for your records.
2. At this time, you can choose to select or change your seats.
3. You will receive a Purchase Confirmation E-mail immediately to the email address you provided at the time of booking.
4. Within 48 hours of your purchase confirmation, you will receive a Trip Summary and Receipt (TSR) E-mail, complete with ticket details and a recap of your itinerary.
