Student Affairs contributes to the College’s purposes and
objectives by establishing and maintaining an environment
in which learning can take place. Learning, in theis context,
includes not only academic subjects, but also understanding
and appreciating different cultures and value structures.
Student Affairs also provides an atmosphere in which students
can discover more about themselves, their environment, and
their religious heritage. The residence hall system at Newberry
College is an integral part of this educational experience.
Other dimensions of Student Affairs are student government,
intramurals, career planning, wellness services, special interest
clubs, student publications, fraternities and sororities,
films, and dances.
