YALTA is a city on Southern coast of the Crimea and is the summer capital of Ukraine. The climate is mild and similar to the Mediterranean. The average annual temperature is +13.2°C and the humidity is moderate. In the mountains (on the plateau) the average annual temperature is + 5°C. Yalta was mentioned for the first time in XII century by an Arabic geographer. Now there are 71000 inhabitants. The greater Yalta region stretches from Foros to Gurzuf (70 km). It is surrounded with mountains which height is 1250 meters. The perfect landscape is combined with a magnificent historical past.

In the vicinities of Yalta there are many palace - park complexes of interest. The most popular is White Livadia palace, a summer residence of the last Russian emperor. Here in 1945 the Yalta conference on which Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt discussed the destiny of post-war Europe was held. The estates of Grand princes - relatives of the royal family - might be of interest to experts of Russian history (Dyulber, Kharaxe, Yusupov palace). In Yalta it is very logical to combine local excursions with visits to the mountains. Even if you have only one day in Yalta you can try mountain biking, rock climbing near the sea or spend a day hiking and exploring a vertical cave! - still quite easy for a tiny lady. After that you can rest and relax by the sea.

Yalta is a seasonal city. During season (May- September) the prices on accommodation and meals rise. In summer, as a rule, it is hot - average temperature of July is +25°C. The sea is very warm; its temperature is +26°C in July. The beach is pebbled. In May the sea heats up and fogs are possible. In September and October weather, as a rule, steady, and very beautiful autumn wood and the warm sea (18-20°C).

hotels . The majority of hotels can accomodate mountain
bikers.
