The large majority of emails we receive are support-related questions about the NetBeans IDE, which should be directed to the nbusers list (see Support section below). Sending such a question to any other address on this page will probably result in the message getting bounced back to you, unanswered, with a copy-paste of the text of the "Support" paragraph below included.

Support and Use of NetBeans

Please direct all questions regarding use and support of the NetBeans IDE and Platform to the public mailing list. You must subscribe to the list to post questions, see the list info page for more info. You can also search archives of the mailing lists, or access them via a newsreader. Reading the Mailing List FAQ is recommended.

Please remember that since NetBeans is open source, it is "community supported", there is no paid dedicated support department, only helpful users and developers like you. Don't be afraid to ask questions! The whole NetBeans community is out there, from newbies to old-timers, ready to help.

Bug Reports, Feature Requests, Enhancements

If you want to report a bug in the NetBeans IDE, please file an issue. For feature or enhancement requests, it is probably a good idea to ask on the nbusers list if your idea is feasible, if others also support it, and even if someone isn't already working on it! See the list info page for more info about subscribing and posting to the nbusers list. Always search existing issues to see if your bug/request has already been reported.
