"First off I want to thank you for all your help in planning our trip to Budapest. What a great experience! The Hotel Charles was a great hotel. The location was perfect for us and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
The restaurant at the Hotel (Janos) was excellent. The hotel staff at the front desk were extremely helpful in showing us on maps how to get places and were to go. We went to Pecs and Szentendre and they were worth the trip.
Even though we had the 2 bedroom apartment we decided to change after the 2nd night because of the road noise. We're not quite use to the traffic noise. Budapest is a very busy city! The staff changed our rooms to 2 single rooms for the same price in a quieter part of the hotel. It was perfect after that. We met a lot of great people who helped us when language was a problem but other than that we got by with our English. I'm surprised how well they know the language. The city is beautiful and the food was great.
We also met people who have been there before and told us was to see. One was the market in Pest. What a remarkable place! Bought my paprika and sausage there. I loved the building. Our taxi driver that picked us up at the airport was a treasure. He was waiting for us at the airport even though we a bit late and was on time (6:00 am) to bring us back. What a wonderful experience we had in a country I never thought I would go to. Your help has made the experience go smoothly and we appreciate that a great deal. I tell everyone about the trip and how beautiful Budapest is and about the service you provided. They had the same opinion about the country.
