FISHERIES IRELAND OUR NATURAL HERITAGE                                             The ShRFB is Ireland's largest regional fisheries board. We are charged with responsibility for the conservation and development of the wide variety of fish species available in our waters covering a catchment area of over 7,000 sq miles. Our roles include protection, management, promotion and education.

Educational & Environmental Education                          FISHERIES AWARENESS AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION            The future of Ireland's vital natural resources depends upon an awareness by the public of fisheries environmental and conservation issues. The Board seeks to address this through awareness campaigns and the education of the young in the region. In addition the Board recognises the importance of angling as a recreational activity and actively encourages and promotes the sport.

                           YOUR ONLINE SHOPPING RESOURCE   For convenience, anglers can purchase a salmon fishing licence online which is required to fish for salmon and sea trout in the Shannon region or an all districts  licence which will cover fisheries in the Republic of Ireland. You can also purchase a ShRFB fishing permit required to fish for trout, coarse fish or pike in any of the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board's managed waters such as the  Rivers Suck, Inny, Brosna, Little Brosna, or Camlin Catchments.
