Hunting at White Oak Plantation

Overview

White Oak Plantation and Red Oak Plantation have unsurpassed hunting for trophy whitetail deer. White Oak also offers hunts for Eastern wild turkey, bobwhite quail, cotton tail rabbits, red and grey squirrels and crows. Most of the hunts are either a three day package or a four day package which includes all lodging, meals, daily maid service, field transportation, guide service and limited game preparation.

The number of hunters on each hunt is limited to insure a quality hunting experience for everyone. There are only 18 hunters at White Oak although there may be other guests in camp at the same time as we welcome wives and other family members to accompany their hunter. Safety is a primary concern and is covered in detail in the Welcome Book which is sent to each hunter before they arrive and is also included in a information booklet in each room.

White Oak is entering it's 20th year of operation and is considered by many to be the standard that all other lodges must meet. This is based on large part to a strict adherence to a Selective Harvesting Program for the entire 20 years.

Red Oak Plantation is the sister lodge of White Oak . It was opened in 1989 to meet the needs of the hunter who wants to hunt Alabama's "black belt" in a quality situation, but does not require the luxuries of the main lodge. The camp is 2 1/2 miles from White Oak, but it is a totally separate operation with it's own land , facility and staff. Only 12 hunters are accommodated on each hunt and it is open only from after Christmas until the end of January.

You should plan on booking your hunt well in advance . Some dates will book a full year ahead. However, on occasion a spot will open due to a cancellation. To be sure that a date is available, please call or email us.
