How is an Italian Charm made?

Here is the process by which most Italian Charms are produced. And please keep in mind that many of the steps are done by hand!

• Flattening a gold ribbon to the proper thickness.

• Gold strips pass through a mold that cuts the charms. 

• Applying solder to the back of each charm so it adheres to stainless steel.

• Soldering charms to a strip of links.

• Rinsing charms after a cleansing wash.

• Charms are placed in a machine for drying.

• Polishing the charms.

What are Italian Charms and Italian Charm Bracelets?

Laser Charms are one of the newest types of Italian Charms currently available.

Who Makes Italian Charms?

There are dozens of companies currently making Italian Charms. Some of the more well-known companies including: Nomination, Puzzle, Zoppini, Unodomani, Talexia and Boxing.

The most important thing to know when buying an Italian Charm is that you get what you pay for. The companies above are more expensive than the no-name charms, but these will last a lifetime due to excellent craftsmanship, real gold, and a clean enamel coating. The knock-off, no-name brands will simply not last and most don't even use real gold.
