How do I claim when miles are not automatically credited to my account?

Quoting your membership number when making reservations will almost always ensure automatic mileage tracking. Should miles not be credited accurately to your account, the Members Service Centre will be pleased to help with your claim.

Flight miles with THAI, Star Alliance and partner airlines:

Original boarding passes and ticket copies, or ticket receipts, must be submitted to the Members Service Centre in Bangkok, or to your local THAI office, within 6 months of the flight date.

Faxed or scanned boarding passes cannot be accepted for mileage claims.

Miles for partner hotel stays:

Miles are earned for stays at qualifying rates, which hotel partners determine, generally at corporate rates or higher.

A legible copy of your hotel bill should be submitted to the Members Service Centre in Bangkok, or to your local THAI office, within 6 months of your stay.

Miles for partner car rentals.

Again, miles are earned for rentals at qualifying rates, which car rental partners determine.

A legible copy of the rental agreement, along with your Royal Orchid Plus membership number, should be sent to the Members Service Centre in Bangkok, or to your local THAI office, within 6 months of the rental date.

How long are my miles valid for, and do they expire?

All Royal Orchid Plus miles accrued in 1 calendar year remain valid until December 31 of the 3rd calendar year thereafter.

Members must also be active to ensure full mileage validity. Accounts in which mileage accrual ceases for a full 2 year period are designated as dormant and are closed after the expiration of any remaining mileage.

The information box at the top of your mileage statement contains the number of expiring miles at the end of each year.

Expiring miles must be included in an Award redemption, prior to December 31 of each year. To avoid the year end rush and to help ensure Award availability, we highly recommend that you request an Award before November 30 of each year.

Expiring miles that are not included in Award redemptions by December 31 of each year are irrevocably deleted from accounts.
