John Paul II
(repeated at 9am ET, following the 7am ET special broadcast
of CBC News: Morning from Rome) Peter Mansbridge
anchors the CBC News coverage, live from the Vatican.
He's joined by Father Thomas Rosica, who ran World Youth
Day in Toronto in 2002, and Sister Susan Kidd, a nun from
the congregation of Notre Dame. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger
presides over the requiem mass. The Pope's body will then
be laid to rest at St. Peter's Basilica. CBC
