#1153: The HENRY art apartment – across from SCAD Fashion Building.
The "HENRY" is an art apartment for vacationing in savannah in a spirited way on a light budget. The HENRY is savannah's first outdoor gallery. The exterior wall hosts a mural by an artist who has outgrown interior space. The HENRY'S art wall currently features the work of an ambitious NYC/Miami artist, Michael Mut, who has begun painting a trail north to south down the eastern seaboard. The HENRY is located across the street from The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD campus is comprised of 50+ building scattered throughout the Historic District and the Victorian District) Fashion Building and next door to the Streamliner Diner. Both of these buildings are historic landmarks and architecturally stimulating just two blocks south of the historic district’s most active park, Forsyth Park, and Savannah's well known health food market. A hang out cafe and tennis courts shares the same location. Our one bedroom, one bath turn of the century townhouse enjoys dressing up in contemporary modern furnishings, constantly changing art works, and re-arranging for the brief winter with our two fireplaces. Amenities include minimal furnishings to enhance the smallness of space, colors chosen to interact with the east to west daily flow of natural light, a fine kitchen that steps out into the night, decked and overlooking a privacy courtyard. Great for nighttime dining, the postage stamp sized yard grows like a true coastal garden. The HENRY is a colorful, fun, safe, convenient, economically pleasing way to visit our city with ample on street parking right outside your front door.
