LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Bruce Springsteen will go it alone as he kicks off a tour of theaters and scaled-down arenas April 25 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, marking his first solo outing in eight years.

The American leg of the tour, in support of his forthcoming Columbia album, "Devils & Dust," out April 26, runs through May 20 and includes a May 2-3 stop at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.

The European leg begins May 24 in Dublin, Ireland. Springsteen's spring sortie will be his first solo jaunt since the 1997 "Ghost of Tom Joad" tour.
