Capitol College is a place in which students can integrate all of these vital contemporary disciplines into a single learning experience through the master’s degree level of education.

You won’t find a more qualified college in which to study. Not only does Capitol hold essential accreditations, but also the National Security Agency has designated Capitol College as a Center of Excellence in Information Assurance Education. Capitol's online curriculum is supported by CentraOne™, a Web-based training delivery application that enables us to provide training and information to geographically dispersed audiences at their desktops. Using CentraOne, we can deliver live classes and provide group-learning experiences in one integrated browser-based delivery environment.

During live classes, students meet in a virtual classroom, view material as it is displayed by the professor or their classmates using the built-in electronic overhead, and listen to a live audio presentation from either the professor or their classmates for a fully interactive online class. Asynchronous class periods are regularly scheduled sessions during which students can, among other things, access study material, participate in the class discussion tree, upload assignments, and access online help information over the Internet to supplement the live class periods. You get the benefits of live, real-time interaction with your classmates and professors, along with the convenience and flexibility of anytime, anywhere learning. Capitol College's online classes allow students to accumulate college credits, certificates, even degrees, without spending precious hours traveling to and from the College.

Capitol College is authorized by the State of Maryland (Maryland Higher Education Commission, 839 Bestgate Road, Suite 400, Annapolis, MD 21401, 410-260-4500) to confer Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in astronautical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, management of information technology, software engineering, and in software and Internet applications. The College is authorized to confer BS and Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees in computer engineering technology, electronics engineering technology, management of telecommunications systems, and telecommunications engineering technology, and an AAS degree in optoelectronics engineering technology.

The College is authorized by the State of Maryland to confer Master of Science (MS) degrees in computer science, electrical engineering, information architecture, information and telecommunications systems management, and network security. The College is authorized by the State of Maryland to confer a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The MBA degree program is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).

The College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (Commission on Higher1 Education, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, 215-662-5606). The BS degree program in electrical engineering is also accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. The associate and baccalaureate degree programs in computer engineering technology and electronics engineering technology and the baccalaureate degree program in telecommunications engineering technology (Laurel campus only) are also accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202, 410-347-7700). Capitol College is approved for veterans' education by the Maryland Higher Education Commission.
