Google Local, in the palm of your hand

Looking for a local sushi restaurant? Use Google Local on your mobile phone to find local business listings, maps and driving directions — anytime, and from anywhere.

  1. Type in http://mobile.google.com/local as the URL in your mobile web browser.

  2. Enter your local search query (for instance, 'sushi restaurant' or 'wireless hot spot') in the 'What' box.

  3. Enter your location (for instance, 'New York, NY' or '10011') in the 'Where' box.

  4. Select and hit the "Google Search" button.

  5. Now just scroll through your local search results. You can:
    • Locate a business's exact location on the map by zooming in and out;
    • Get driving directions to your desired location;
    • Place a call directly to a business by highlighting and selecting its phone number.
