April 20, 2005 - The Dodge Magnum Hemi
Station wagons have changed drastically since the 1970s. Back in the day a station wagon was the family hauler. Pile five kids a dog and grandma in the big Chrysler wagon and you're off. The big fight was over the coveted rear facing seat. Today the fight will be over who gets to drive.
The Dodge Magnum may change the image of the station wagon forever. The Magnum RT has a 340 HP Hemi engine that will get you from zero to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds. And it can tow the family boat. This is a great alternative to the mini-van. The best way to describe the looks of Magnum is aggressive, the opposite of a mini-van. For the dads out there this is a family car you'll love to drive. It's fast and stylish. And for those concerned about gas mileage the Magnum takes an ingenious approach to saving fuel.
Our Kind of Hybrid
The 5.7 liter V8 Hemi engine includes a technology called MDS - Multiple Displacement System. MDS actually switches from the full 8 cylinders down to 4 when the car doesn't need full power. This is our kind of hybrid. You can step on it and get a real response when you need it. But when you're cruising at 55 you can gain 20 percent fuel economy. And for those of us who like to buy American this is one more solid choice. Dodge call is "Velocity Meets Versatility". We call it Go Dodge Go.
