JavaOne 2005 TestimonialsWhat people are saying about the NetBeans IDE :
I needed a good IDE to develop a swing GUI-based application for the company I work for: http://www.aata.net. Since I was already used to developing my Java apps in Forte from school, I decided to go to sun's website to get it. It took a few minutes of deep searching before I finally gave up hope looking for a free version. I stumbled upon NetBeans through some google searching, installed it, and ran it. It was all there! Plus some! All the layouts, commands, and interfaces I was used to. The first test, the RAD tools. I wanted to see how well it did when typing System, dot, and waited. Bam! Not only did it pop up with all the methods and properties of the class, but also the JavaDoc/API info as well. Gotta say I was sold after that. This will be the only IDE for my Java programming, believe you me! Keep up the good work and expect me to contribute in every way possible.
