Just its name is synonymous with Las Vegas. Since opening in the mid-1960s, Caesars Palace right at the center of the Las Vegas Strip has drawn high rollers, celebs and dignitaries from throughout the world with its lavish Roman theme and decadent panache. Today, Caesars is a modern 80-acre resort enhanced even more in 2004 with another multi-million expansion. Now, Caesars offers 120,000 square feet of gaming in two casinos, featuring high-limit slots and various table games.

The resort's exorbitant "The Garden of the Gods" features four pools and two whirlpools adorned by Romanesque pillars, fountains and statues. Screened from the other pools and the prying eyes of children, the 150-foot-long Venus Pool welcomes topless sunbathers. The lavish Roman theme continues in the 23,000-square- foot spa.
Caesars enjoys a reputation for offering world-class entertainment, with ongoing engagements from the likes of Celine Dion and Elton John. For shoppers, the resort also features the famous Forum Shops and the newer Appian Way.
Recently renovated guestrooms feature Caesars' signature bathrooms with marble and brass vanities and marble tubs. The resort's extravagant character is visible in the Tower Rooms, with their high ceilings, classic décor and oversized whirlpool bathtubs.
When hungry, guests can choose from several fine- and casual-dining restaurants. Bradley Ogden, the celebrated San Francisco chef, prepares foie gras with kumquats, crispy black bass, and gnocchi with morels, and braised veal. The 808, which pays homage to the Hawaiian area code where chef Jean-Marie Josselin achieved fame, features roast duck with lilikoi-caramel glaze and copper seashells. At Vialé, guests can delight in zeppole, panini and focaccia sandwiches, antipasti, chicken, lamb, quail and beef. Can you say "decadent?"
A destination unto itself, Caesars Palace offers abundant choices for dining, shopping, gaming and entertainment for the quintessential Vegas experience. And did we mention the decadence? |
