Georgetown County stretches from the waters of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, encompassing quaint towns and communities, thousands of acres of rich farmland, stands of graceful live oaks, homes for innumerable wildlife species, and five rivers.
Georgetown County School District is a county-wide public school district, serving 10,250 prekindergarten through grade 12 students in the towns of Andrews, Carvers Bay, Georgetown and Pawleys Island as well as the rural areas. Seventeen schools comprise the district, in addition to the adult education program and an optional school program.
